Summer Ready With Wadi-Wadi Jojoba

Summer Ready With Wadi-Wadi Jojoba

As summer heats up beach days and sunny picnics are calling our name, and once again it’s time to take extra care when it comes to protecting and replenishing our skin.

While we all know a good broad-screen sunscreen will help save our skin from premature aging and protect against UVA/UVB rays, SPF doesn’t have the power to moisturise as well. Which means we need to find other ways to keep our skin hydrated.

Natural skincare products lovers will have heard about jojoba oil benefits before, but did you know it’s actually not an oil at all? Instead the jojoba bean creates a liquid wax ester that’s the closest botanical match to our skin’s natural oil known as sebum.

Because the molecular structure of Jojoba wax esters is so close to our human sebum it can deeply penetrate the skin for the ultimate moisturization, helping to restore, nourish and repair. Clinical tests on women between 25 and 59 years of age have shown jojoba can moisturise the skin for up to eight hours, and the great news is it’s suitable for all skin types.

Jojoba for after sun care

If you have spent longer in the sun than you meant to and need a natural sunburn relief, jojoba can help reduce redness, irritation and inflammation, and acts in a similar way to a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug to relieve pain and swelling.

All you need to do is apply the jojoba directly to clean, damp skin and gently massage it in, then that golden liquid can get to work repairing and deeply moisturising your damaged skin.

Jojoba is naturally rich in Vitamins A, D and E, which are known as skin healing vitamins as they help to regenerate skin cells and keep skin healthy. It’s also packed with essential fatty acids omega 6 and 9 to help repair damaged skin tissue.

Unlike synthetic formulas jojoba is safe to use on all skin types, and using jojoba for after sunburn relief can also prevent your poor skin from peeling. That’s definitely not the look we’re going for this summer.

Sustainable Jojoba skincare

Australian Jojoba Farm

As well as protecting our skin, The Jojoba Company is committed to protecting the world around us. Jojoba crops are carbon negative, which means they remove carbon from the air, and we don’t use any chemicals on the plants.

We believe in the healing properties of nature and have been focused on sustainable farming since we first started growing jojoba on our farm at Yenda in regional Australia in 2000.

The Jojoba Company is the first in the world to develop an entire skincare range from the jojoba bean, and we still personally manage everything from when the tiny seedling is put in the ground to when we fill our signature bottles with that golden liquid.

Australian jojoba is considered the highest quality grade in the world, and our extra virgin jojoba is cold pressed then filtered fourteen times for absolute purity.

All of our jojoba skin products are chemical free with no artificial fragrances, no perfumes, and are never tested on animals. Organic jojoba is also available.
