The Circle Life of Jojoba

The Circle Life of Jojoba

Originally found in the desert areas of Arizona, the Jojoba plant was drought tolerant and thrived in the harsh climate. Used by ancient tribes for its incredible healing properties, this unique shrub is also carbon negative and pest tolerant. As the love for Jojoba grew, the CSIRO knew that this plant would thrive in the Australian climate.

Using special techniques, the CSIRO crafted multiple different species of Jojoba and entrusted them to talented farmers around the nation. Watching closely to see which species succeeded, Wadi-Wadi Jojoba was born.

With numerous seedlings entrusted to farmers, only one farm flourished with Wadi-Wadi Jojoba and that was our Beresford Farm in Yenda, NSW.

Yenda is located in Australia's Riverina region which was originally settled in by Italian immigrants. Searching for soils that mimicked the nutrient rich Mediterranean landscape, their produce thrived in Yenda, Griffith and surrounds. Nestled amongst vineyards and olive plantations, our Wadi-Wadi Jojoba flourished, passing on the nutrients to your skin. Spanning over 80 hectares, we give Beresford Farm all the credit for the incredible benefits our Wadi-Wadi Jojoba holds. Clinically proven to have higher amounts of Omega 9 than other species of Jojoba, Wadi-Wadi Jojoba helps build a healthier, younger-looking complexion.

Farming to strict organic standards, each shrub is in the very capable hands of Farmer Dan and the team at Beresford.

Surrounded by native flora and fauna, Beresford Farm is teeming with wildlife completing the circle of life. With the fallen leaf litter from the Jojoba plant creating nests for field mice, to the shrubs creating shade for the roos on hot sunny days and the branches creating homes for birds. Our Beresford Farm completes the circle of life.

Now, Beresford Farm nurtures thousands and thousands of Wadi-Wadi Jojoba plants as Farmer Dan meticulously cares for each. With the perfect male to female ratio, there is not one leaf out of line.

As you, our TJC fans, fall deeper in love with our Wadi-Wadi Jojoba, Farmer Dan prepares for the years to come. With each Jojoba plant taking 8 years to mature and produce a bean, our greenhouse is bursting with seedlings ready to graduate to the outdoors. These babies are carefully hand reared and once big enough, the team at Beresford plant them outdoors.

This year alone, Farmer Dan planted over 10,000 Wadi-Wadi Jojoba babies which will be ready to harvest in 2029. And, with each harvest every bean is cold pressed and filtered 14 times for absolute purity to create the golden liquid that is at the heart of our entire range.

From bean to bottle, each step is crafted with the earth and you in mind. Incredible for you and the planet.
